Saturday Bliss, Yarn style

Someone very dear and perfectly delightful chose to take me to my fave LYS, 3 Wishes, yesterday.  Being the truly thoughtful man he is (and good sport!) he actually wandered around, listened to my rambling explanations of the attributes of various yarns, techniques, my desire to learn to spin, carefully looked at the looms with the true interest of a wood worker, and only walked out to catch his breath from ‘Holly overload” for a few minutes!

The very best part is he intentionally voluntered to add to my stash!!!!!!  Two skiens of kollage Delightful in Rising Tide – deep blue soft mohair blend and sparkling silver/blue metallic highlights :

as well as Inspired to Knit, Creating Exquisite Handknits by Michele Rose Orne and I talked him into sock yarn in a not all together boring colorway – socks for him in short que.  He insisted that I chose things for myself – what a great guy!  Not sure he realized what he was getting into but, as mentioned, he was a tremendously good sport about it.  Gotta love someone like that!!!!!!!

Any suggestions for the Delightful?  Thinking a lace scarf but that certainly leaves the field wide open.  Seriously – would love suggestions.

Added 2 pairs of socks to short que on Ravelry.  The wonderous Grylion’s and Bill’s (aforementioned subject of LYS blissful Saturday).

Ooh, beautiful yarn!! You could consider knitting the ‘Zetor’ scarf. It is a nice triangular lace shawl, free pattern. I love it!! Or Laminaria, or Muir (both from Goodluck with it!

    Ciao, Jo
