Frogged

Frogged BSS and starting over with double points.  Someday, I absolutely WILL learn and get comfy with the Magic Loop but want to do something I know and love while knitting incredibly long socks that must be perrrrrfect.  Me?! Do something perfectly, without error?  lmao  no, but I sure do know how to fix things!

Still using knitting as therapy.  With all the things that I have to work on and work out in ‘real’ life it’s so comforting and fulfilling to see all those rows adding up to a complete object.

For whatever reason, the address on my KnitPicks order was wrong so re-ordered and will hopefully have my Mother’s Day gift soon.  I really want to get started on TJ’s socks and my sister’s wrap.  They have given me so much and I want to give something tangeable in return.

The Socks for Soldiers projects are still extremely high priority as well, of course.  As the grand daughter, daughter, formerly ‘married to the military,’ former DOD contract civilian, and currently married to a veteran I’m fully aware of the sacrifices of our troops and their families.  Creating something to keep their feet cozy and dry may seem a bit simplistic to some but to me (and I’d imagine many of the thousands of us that knit these socks) it symbolizes our commitment to them.

A couple weeks ago DH has decided not to have his hernias fixed; he doesn’t want another surgery.  That decision means ‘complications’ in our relationship won’t be fixed either but…  that’s his decision and he seems happy with it.
